AYSAD: Founded in 1988 to unite footwear components manufacturers under one roof, the Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (AYSAD) is the sector’s first and only non-governmental organization. With an innovative and dynamic approach, AYSAD brings together manufacturers, representatives, importers and exporters of all types of materials used in footwear production, as well as footwear designers.

Through domestic and international trade fairs, sector-specific training programs, product presentations, and initiatives addressing industry challenges, AYSAD focuses on ensuring the effective representation of its members and providing the sector with a stronger collective voice.

Bringing together inputs from approximately 36 different business sectors, AYSAD is a leading representative of the footwear components industry. It continues to develop and implement programs that help its members adapt to sectoral developments and global market trends.


TASEV: The Turkish Footwear Industry Research, Development and Education Foundation (TASEV) was established in 1997 under the leadership of Mehmet Büyükekşi, Ercan Artan, Temel Yaşar Çoruh, and Hasan Basri Özmutaf to meet the footwear industry’s need for a skilled and qualified workforce.

Founded through the collaboration of the Turkish Footwear Manufacturers Association, the Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (AYSAD), the Turkish Footwear Federation, and 100 leading companies and industry professionals, TASEV marked a major milestone in opening Türkiye’s footwear industry to global markets.

Guided by the principle that education is essential to achieving and sustaining a strong competitive position in global markets, TASEV:

• Meets the footwear industry’s need for a qualified workforce through specialized training programs.

• Establishes new educational institutions and develops projects to support existing ones, ensuring the sustainability of educational activities.

• Provides consultancy services to the industry.
